Tuesday Tales - DIRTY

¸.•*♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫    It's time for Tuesday  Tales    •*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪

Oliver is a Baseball player in Melbourne, Tyra is from Perth and has just moved to the Victorian Capital. Their first meeting wasn't as pleasant as Oliver has been used to with females.

Remember - it's a WIP, ie not edited. Please excuse any errors you'll find.

So this week's Tuesday Tales prompt is DIRTY.

Enjoy - and feel free to leave a comment. And don't forget to click the link below to go back to the main Tuesday Tale site for more stories by very talented authors.

A few days later Oliver stood next to his coach in the gym, about to start with the weights.

“What’s with your niece, coach?”

He noticed Erik’s stare on him. “None of your business.” Short, and straight to the point.

Oliver chuckled.

“It’s really not that funny,” Erik said.

The smile disappeared on Oliver's face. “I have noticed. That’s why I asked.”

With one eyebrow raised, his coach warned him. “She’s off limits. I told you before.”

Oliver nodded. “I know. So she told me.”

That got him another icy glare.

“Look coach. I ran into her the other day. Twice. Both times she was tense and jumpy. I’m not a dirty player, you know that. I won’t go near her, just give me an idea what's wrong with her.”

Erik blew out a long breath. “Nothing’s wrong with her. She’s moved to Melbourne to move on. She lost her husband a year ago during a robbery gone wrong. It’s been a rough road for her since then. I don’t need you to play with her emotions by taking her to bed and drop her when you’ll have had enough of her. Understood?”

That took Oliver by surprise. Over the previous few days he had imagined a few things about Tyra. All sorts of reasons had come to mind for her attitude. Heck, he’d even had a brief conversation with Tyson’s girl, Katie, who said, she might just be one of the few women who was able to resist his charm. He laughed at that impossible idea, but had actually considered it.

But losing her husband?

Tyra was a widow?

Why had that not come to mind? And why was it that she pushed him away. He was a player, but he didn’t have one nasty streak in him.

“Understood?”

The coach’s question hauled him back from his thoughts. He nodded.

“How about a little dinner?”

“Out of the question.”

Oliver raked a hand through his hair. “She might enjoy a little company. It’ll do her good to settle here in Melbourne. I’m sure Katie and Tyson would love to come along.”

Erik stepped closer. “She can make her own decisions,” he said through a clenched jaw. “But if you only hurt Tyra one tiny little bit, you’re off the team. Am I making myself clear? One.Little.Bit!”

“Crystal clear!”

She was off limits all right.

To believe in new beginnings is to trust in tomorrow

Blurb:
Twenty-two-year-old Sophie Levesque has been guardian to eight-year-old sister Mia since their mother’s death a few years ago. Luck comes their way when they inherit a small house in Hobart. Problem is, though, they don’t know or have even heard of Clara Bellinger, the testator, and Sophie is afraid it’s all been a mistake.
As Mia settles well into her new school and life in general, Sophie is not only occupied by her search of what connected her to Clara, but also her new studies and the two men, who suddenly have become part of her daily life - Mark O’Connor, the lawyer representing Clara’s estate, and Zach, the hunk from across the road.

Chapter One

Sophie stared at the attorney, waiting for some answers. She and her sister, Mia, had been quietly sitting in Mr. O’Connor’s office for more than half an hour, and had learnt about the details of their inheritance.

"Who?"

"Clara Catherine Bellinger."

"Who is she?" Mia asked.

Startled by the subtle sound of the clock chiming across the road, Sophie’s gaze turned to the window, where she saw the post office building across the road. It looked impressive and old. Surely, an old place like this would have its own ghosts — after all, Hobart was renowned for its lively spirits.

Her younger sister’s gentle touch on her arm reminded her she hadn’t answered the question, yet. "I wouldn’t have a clue." Sophie shrugged and focused her attention back on Mr. O’Connor. Although hearing his words, she still found it hard to comprehend. Here she was in this old office, furnished with heavy antique oak furniture, the curtains in a pretty shade of aubergine, and the carpet beneath her shoes thick and warm in a matching shade.

"I believe she was a distant relative of yours. I’m afraid I don’t have any further details," he replied.

Sophie arched an eyebrow in disbelief. Was he serious? What kind of lawyer was he? Sure, Tasmania was at the very end of Australia, but wouldn’t they have the same education? With a slight shrug of her shoulder, she asked, "Why not?"

He stared at her. "Pardon me?"

Sitting up straight, she repeated, "Why not? Why aren’t there any further details?"

He looked uneasy, but she didn’t care. She needed to know. Sophie had received a call from the lawyer a week earlier, and he’d told her about an

inheritance. He’d given her details on where to pick up tickets to Hobart. Some legality, he had said. She needed to come in and sign documents for the transfer of ownership.

"Ms. Bellinger was one of the partner’s clients. I was only given the details shortly after the client’s death."

Sophie drew in her lips. Her eyes darted over to the window as she took a few deep breaths, inwardly calming herself. Nothing had ever been easy in her life. "Why isn’t the partner here?"

He took a deep breath. "Retired."
As she pondered on that for a moment, she began to think about what life could be like with this inheritance. Different. Better. Another sigh escaped as she returned her gaze to the man behind the desk. "You can’t just leave your assets to just anybody, can you?"

"Miss Lever—"

"Levesque," she helped him.

Their eyes met.

"Are you refusing the bequest?" he asked hesitantly, and she clearly noticed how one of his eyebrows arched upward.

Staring blankly with her mouth open, she could feel the panic running through her veins with every thump of her erratic heartbeat. An uncomfortable silence fell over them for a moment. Then she quickly said, "No. No, of course not. We’re accepting." She turned to look at her younger sister. "We’re actually looking forward to seeing it."

And with one swift movement, he stood and went to a little cupboard near the window and retrieved a bunch of keys. "Would you like me to take you there?"

Still feeling that rush within her, Sophie took Mia’s hand and inclined her head in answer. "Is it far?" Her voice sounded tired. Even to herself. It had been a long day already. She stood and thinking how tired she was, Sophie placed her arm around Mia, who was probably exhausted.

"No, not at all. Five to ten minute drive, I’d say."
"I still don’t understand. Why us?" Sophie asked quietly, meeting his gaze and, for the first time, actually taking in his icy-blue eyes. He was very attractive. Too attractive for a boring lawyer. His face was tanned by wind and sun, and there always seemed to be a hint of a smile on his face. His blond curling hair was cut short. Her gaze fixed back on his mouth. Blushing, she quickly looked away.

The attorney turned to them. He scratched the back of his head. "Ma’am, what I know is that both of you are in the will. What I know is that I was supposed to fly you down here to officially read you the will. What I know is that I’m supposed to hand over the keys to you, and to let you know that your expenses are covered for the next twenty-four months. I did not know Ms. Bellinger, as one of the retired partners wrote up the will. I do not know who she was or in which way she was connected to you. I assumed she was a distant relative."

Sophie took her sister’s hand as she thought about his last comment. Distant relative? Her mother would have at least mentioned her once. She sighed and tried to understand, not the circumstances that had brought her there, but the fact that the attorney just didn’t know. "Oh well, let’s go then."

He pinched his nose with his thumb and index finger and took a deep breath. "Okay. Look, Miss Lever—"

"Levesque," Sophie helped him again. This time somewhat more firmly.

Running his thumb over his eyebrow, he stepped closer, but not so close as to be intimidating. "I’m sorry. It’s been one extraordinary week," he said with his voice just above a whisper. "Once I get back I’ll check with the partners here to see whether anybody knows more about it."
One extraordinary week? His remark irked her. In fact it was downright annoying. Holding Mia even closer to her side, she lifted her finger and pointed at him. "No offence, Mr. O’Connor, but it has been quite a week for us as well, and I was prepared to answer all your questions. I have one simple question, and you don’t know. Wouldn’t there be something in the file?" Sophie was a kind person.

Kindness was her middle name, but she wouldn’t have got that far in life if she hadn’t watched some of those nasty actresses on television and copied them. And the stare. Sophie met his surprised frown dead-on.

He frowned and seemed taken aback by her words. "No offence taken." And then he let out a deep breath. "You’re right. I apologise. As I said, I’ll find out details and let you know."

"Thank you, Mr. O’Connor," she replied as she blew out a breath.

"What about our stuff?" Mia whispered to Sophie.

Sophie moved her head to look down at her sister, but before she had a chance to say anything, he beat her to it. "What stuff?" he asked as he opened the door.

"Considering what we inherited here, we brought all our things," Sophie explained without looking at him.

The attorney stopped in his tracks. "All, as in all your clothes?"

Sophie’s eyes met his. She emitted a small sigh, but tried to keep her composure. It was something she had learnt over the last few years. Standing straight, she corrected him. "All, as in all our belongings."

They stepped outside the building and followed Mr. O’Connor with their suitcases. Two teenage boys walked past them, eager to get the attention of some girls across the road. Aware of the attention, the girls covered their mouths with their hands and broke into giggles. Sophie’s stomach churned. So many things she had missed out on in life. But it was going to be better from now on, she reminded herself, and straightened up as she followed Mr. O’Connor.

Blurb:
Ari thought being in love with her prophesied nemesis sucked. But being responsible for her best friend's kidnapping? It sucks worse.

Ari and Shane thought they’d beaten Fate and ended the three-hundred year war plaguing their people. They thought love had won. But they were so, so wrong.

Instead of graduating high school like the normals, they’re in a battle to save Charity – Shane’s cousin, Ari's best friend, and the seer who might hold the key to ending the war for good. To do that, they’re forced to accept help from a boy they aren’t even sure they can trust. Ari has bigger problems than mysterious boys and their strange powers. The powerful Edren Family is hunting her brother, and she can't very well save him or Charity while they’re constantly being attacked by her own people. To stop the raids, she has to take the fight to them. But if she starts hunting the family that raised her, what kind of monster will she be?

Fate still waits for the death of one by the hand of the other.

Snippet Sunday 15/09/13 - New Beginnings

Welcome to Snippet Sunday !

I received wonderful and kind comments last week for my first "Snippet" and thank everyone for stopping by!
My Snippet Sunday today is as well from my latest release
 "New Beginnings"

Blurb:

Sophie stared at the house. With tears stinging behind her eyelids, she slowly turned around and helped Mia out of the car. The little girl looked fragile in the unfamiliar environment, even though she wasn’t anywhere near fragile. Very clever for her age,  Mia had seen and gone through a lot, but handled most situations with trust and belief. Sophie wasn’t sure whether that was a good thing or not. Her younger sister undoubtedly had her mother’s looks, with the long, straight blond hair, her bright grey-green eyes, and pale skin. But deep down inside, there was a survivor instinct as well. Something, she wondered, her mother might have lacked. “Is this our new home, Sophie?” her sister asked quietly. Hesitantly she nodded. “Yes, sweetie, I hope so.”

(18+) This week's Book Choice: Tamsin Baker "Blond Truth"

With my involvement in Tuesday Tales I have come to read and appreciate different genres. My favourite is still romance and crime, but I've learnt to have an open mind. With that I'm really happy to introduce you to Tamsin  Baker today. Tamsin's new book Blond Truth (M/M Contemporary Erotic Romance) was released this week.

Blurb:

Tommy is thirty one, an architect, gay and gorgeous. Yet, no one has ever really ‘seen’ Tommy before. Sure, they all see his pretty face, blue eyes and hot arse, but they never care enough to see that he’s more than that. Tommy’s getting more frustrated by the day, especially with everyone pairing off. Even Marcus, his best friend and ex lover has found true love. But with little to no relationship experience, how will Tommy find what he needs when he doesn’t even know what that is.
Big Bear Ben is thirty nine, a power lifter and an extremely successful business man. He’s never found a man who holds his interest longer than a few months and, having spent ten years under a pile of paperwork, he probably wouldn’t have noticed them even if he had met them. Tommy, a mutual friend sparks his interest like no other. The gorgeous brat brings out Ben’s dominant side and when his chance arrives to get his hands on Tommy, he finds he’s unwilling to let go.

Excerpt:

“You sure you want this? I don’t want you to think I’m harassing you.”

Tommy shivered as Ben’s breath tingled across his skin. He shook his head avidly. “No.”

Ben didn’t move, just stared down at him. “No, what? Tell me what you want baby?”

Tommy swallowed the moan that rose. This guy was one sexy bastard. That voice was enough to make him weak at the knees. But first he had to beg a little, and rightly so considering his earlier behaviour. “I want you to kiss me.”

Ben didn’t wait a second more. His eyes flared a little, then he bent forward and kissed him. If you could call it that. This kiss was out of this world. Ben had thick, soft lips that demanded a response. Tommy moaned low in his throat as Ben swept his tongue inside and tasted him.

His neck muscles loosened, and his head began to tilt away from the kiss. Ben’s hands moved quickly, one cupped the back of his head, anchoring him in place, while the other hand slid down to his hip.

Tommy moaned again and pushed up against the wall of muscle, needing to get closer. He ran his hands down Ben’s back, stopping at the sculpted arse to squeeze hard.

Ben growled and pulled back, panting and trembling. “You are too much.”

A surprised laugh flew out of Tommy. He had never been accused of being too much of anything.  “You going to take me home, big man?”

Ben’s cock was thick and hard between them, making Tommy’s balls ache for release. He really wanted some of that.

Slowly, Ben shook his head and Tommy flushed with anger and embarrassment. He struggled to get up and away from this big idiot who he’d actually thought had wanted him mere seconds ago. Big hands came down on him, pulling his arms behind his back.

Something strange surged inside Tommy as he fought and couldn’t get free. “Let me go Ben.”

Ben chuckled and bit down on the chord of muscle that ran down Tommy’s neck. He shuddered as another wave of longing passed over him.

“No way, baby.”

Tommy stopped struggling and Ben kissed along his jaw, the soft lips driving him crazy. “Well, why the hell not then? Don’t you know today is my birthday?”

Fuck! He wanted to call the words back as soon as he had said them. He sounded about twelve.

Ben pulled back to look at him, yet effortlessly kept Tommy immobile. His brown eyes were assessing and intense as they bore into him.

“Really? Well birthday boy, I want time to enjoy this gorgeous body of yours and I don’t have any tonight. Go out with me tomorrow night and if you’re a good boy then, I’ll take you home.”

Ben’s voice had dropped half an octave and if Tommy was less aroused he would have been offended by that offer.

“Where?”

Was that his voice all breathy and wanting?

Ben dropped a kiss on his lips and Tommy pressed his pelvis harder into the man holding him so tight. A strangled, needy noise rose from Ben and Tommy smiled to himself.

Review: Kathy Reichs "Grave Secrets" (Brennan #5)

Publisher: Scribner Book Company

ISBN: 9780684859736

My rating: 3/5

A harrowing excavation unearths a chilling tragedy never laid to rest.
They are “the disappeared,” twenty-three massacre victims buried in a well in the Guatemalan village of Chupan Ya two decades ago. Leading a team of experts on a meticulous, heartbreaking dig, Tempe Brennan pieces together the violence of the past. But a fresh wave of terror begins when the horrific sounds of a fatal attack on two colleagues come in on a blood-chilling satellite call. Teaming up with Special Crimes Investigator Bartolomé Galiano and Montreal detective Andrew Ryan, Tempe quickly becomes enmeshed in the cases of four privileged young women who have vanished from Guatemala City — and finds herself caught in deadly territory where power, money, greed, and science converge. (www.kathyreichs.com)

My thoughts

I'm still not quite warming to Kathy Reichs' writing style, but I have to admit I'm getting more and more interested in her stories.

Now this one was confusing, I have to say, but the bits I was able to follow were good. Tempe Brennan is in Guatemala to uncover details from the country's violent past. But when SCI Galiano asks her for help in a local investigation she hesitantly agrees.

So far so good. With my list of names, I make it through the story and it's good enough to keep me interested. Disappearances of young girls and the attempted murder of one of Tempe's friends.
And then she lost me during the last third of the book. I couldn't follow and things didn't make sense.

A trademark of Kathy Reich is to explain science into the smallest details. Her fans love it ... for me it's sometime to much, but I loved how she made fun of it herself occasionally.

Review: Lee Child "The Hard Way" (Reacher #10)

Publisher: Delacorte Press

ISBN: 9780385336697

My rating: 5/5

In Lee Child’s astonishing new thriller, ex–military cop Reacher sees more than most people would...and because of that, he’s thrust into an explosive situation that’s about to blow up in his face. For the only way to find the truth—and save two innocent lives—is to do it the way Jack Reacher does it best: the hard way….

Jack Reacher was alone, the way he liked it, soaking up the hot, electric New York City night, watching a man cross the street to a parked Mercedes and drive it away. The car contained one million dollars in ransom money. And Edward Lane, the man who paid it, will pay even more to get his family back. Lane runs a highly illegal soldiers-for-hire operation. He will use any amount of money and any tool to find his beautiful wife and child. And then he’ll turn Jack Reacher loose with a vengeance—because Reacher is the best man hunter in the world.

On the trail of a vicious kidnapper, Reacher is learning the chilling secrets of his employer’s past…and of a horrific drama in the heart of a nasty little war. He’s beginning to realize that Edward Lane is hiding something. Something dirty. Something big. But Reacher also knows this: he’s already in way too deep to stop now.

My rating:

Only one word comes to mind after just finishing this story: BRILLIANT. It's one of those stories when you come to the end you breathe out a satisfying "wow" and you're tempted to grab the next Reacher novel.

Jack Reacher is in New York City minding his own business when he watches a man walk across the street and drive away in a Mercedes. And that's the start of his next crime to solve. A kidnap of a wife and daughter ... or so it seems.

This story has so many twists and turns it makes you dizzy. The crime is being solved with cleverness and less brutality. And Reacher is getting a human side - he's making mistakes.

As I said, it's a page turner and I loved it! Fully recommend it.

PS - As much as I like Dick Hill as a narrator (he's REALLY good), his near perfect voice/speech of a person with a handicap was over the top. I couldn't understand a word. It was frustrating at times!

This Week's Book Choice: Kelly Martin "Big is Beautiful"

Big is Beautiful by Kelly Martin
Big is Beautiful
by Kelly Martin

Blurb:
The seven worst words ever spoken came out of Brittany Gregory's mom's mouth at breakfast, "I signed you up for math tutoring." Sure, she probably needs it (probably nothing, she'll fail without it), but the thought of having to stay in that school longer than she had to every day makes her sick. It's not the school's fault... just the few jerks inside.

Brittany's tutor is none other than Matt Taylor, senior quarterback-- all around hottie. At first, she's shy around him because, hello, Matt Taylor! But as he shows more and more unexpected kindness toward her, Brittany softens around him.

Unfortunately for Brittany, Matt's former girlfriend, the beautifully wicked Kendra Moses, has tormented Britt since eighth grade about her weight. In an unusual moment of brains, Kendra realizes Brittany's initials spell B.I.G.-- a hilarious (to the cheerleader) irony since Brittany isn't the smallest girl at school.

With the Red Ball (Valentine's Dance) approaching, Brittany has to decide if her growing feelings for Matt are real, or if he's secretly been playing a part in Kendra's game all along.

Review: Jill Shalvis "Blue Flame"

Publisher: Forever Yours

ISBN: 9780451411686

My rating: 3/5

IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE HEAT . . .Callie Hayes is the hardworking manager of the Blue Flame, Arizona's most remote, relaxing guest ranch. She's given everything to the ranch, body, heart, and soul-three things that go haywire when her sexy employer suddenly shows up. After being injured in a high-profile rescue, Jake decides to recover in solitude at the Blue Flame. He may have left the fires behind, but he hasn't escaped the heat; Callie is just as hot and irresistible as he remembers. Now coming home doesn't seem like the best idea-as the sparks between Jake and Callie threaten to burn out of control . . . (www.jillshalvis.com)

My thoughts

And I continue with my "Jill'athon" - Blue Flame was an extra that came with the recently published "Lucky Harbor" book #7 (Kindle).
It was a quick and easy read. Jake's a fire fighter in San Diego. After an accident while trying to rescue a little boy from a fire he retreats to his ranch he inherited from his late father's. But he doesn't really fit in.
It's one of Shalvis' earlier books and I have to admit, as much as I enjoyed reading the story, it wasn't one of my favourites. I couldn't warm up to either Jake or Callie.
And (!!!) ... we don't get to find out what happens between Tucker and Amy.

Book Choice of the Week: Sherry Gloag "Vidal's Honor"

Vidal's Honor
by Sherry Gloag

Tagline:
Which will Honor lose first? Her head or her heart?

Blurb:
When plunged into a world of spies, agents and espionage during the Peninsula wars, Honor, Lady Beaumont, flees for her life when the French capture her husband at Salamanca, and relies on his batman to arrange her safe passage back to England.

Viscount Charles Vidal is ordered by Robert Dumas, the First Lord of the Admiralty, to travel to Spain and escort the only woman he’s ever loved, Lord Devlin Beaumont’s widow back home before the French discover her whereabouts.

Their journey is fraught by danger, least of all knowing whether they are surrounded by friends or foe. Will they survive long enough to explore the possibility of a future together or will whispers of treason be enough to see Honor dispatched to Tyburn first?

Excerpt:

While Vidal joked with his cousin, the viscount scanned the room. The smell of fine wine, whiskey and cigar smoke blended into a rich aroma that was as much a part of Whites as the card games, the background chatter, and outbreaks of lewd laughter from the younger members of the club.
One member in particular interested Vidal tonight, and he watched Robert Dundas, second Viscount Melville, and First Lord of the Admiralty, take leave of his friends and head in his direction.

He wondered why the man spent the best part of the night watching his every move, and paused in the act of fobbing his snuff box while he waited for the viscount to join him.

“Take a walk with me?” Although couched as a question, Vidal noted the quiet steel of command in the other man’s voice. Dundas laid a hand on his arm; a companionable gesture for anyone interested enough to observe the two men leaving the club together. “I believe I live not far beyond your own house. I’d appreciate your company, and this is not the place for such a discussion. ”

With an indolent twist of the wrist Vidal returned the modish lacquered box, unopened, to his pocket and nodded agreement. A man’s club was no setting for private conversation, and it was plain the man wanted to talk about something away from flapping ears.

Together they strolled across the room stopping to take leave of several mutual friends.

 The Author

Multi-published author, Sherry Gloag is a transplanted Scot now living in the beautiful coastal countryside of Norfolk, England.  She considers the surrounding countryside as extension of her own garden, to which she escapes when she needs "thinking time" and solitude to work out the plots for her next novel.  While out walking she enjoys talking to her characters, as long as there are no other walkers close by.

Apart from writing, Sherry enjoys gardening, walking, reading and cheerfully admits her books tend to take over most of the shelf and floor space in her workroom-cum-office.  She also finds crystal craft work therapeutic.

So armed with a ‘How to Hook a Millionaire’ Book and a ten point plan, she sets off to hook herself a rich husband. Then she meets the drop-down gorgeous Jed Curtess. The attraction between them is sizzling but Jed is only a hired hand on one of the millionaire’s yachts. Can Amber ignore her heart and follow her plan?

Excerpt:
You call that a quick kiss?
She heard him get up but still didn’t trust herself to turn and face him.
“I’ll just go and write up my notes and check through the photos I’ve taken,” he told her. “I’ll be in Mike’s study if you need me.”
“Okay.” She nodded.
The next minute he was gone, leaving her to her thoughts.
Oh, nice one, Amber. Great timing to snog the guy like that when you’ve got got to spend the whole evening together, not to mention tomorrow morning and the boat trip home. Hang on, he kissed me. Yes, but you didn’t have to kiss him back quite so enthusiastically, did you? She cringed as she remembered the way she’d ran her fingers through his hair, pulling his head closer to her. What had
come over her? He’s an attractive guy, and you were just emotional because of the pups. It’s no big deal. Just shrug it off like nothing happened. Jed has. The kiss had obviously meant nothing to him.
She got up and brushed down her shorts, wrinkling her nose at how grubby they were. She wished she’d brought a spare pair with her, and some clean undies too. She didn’t relish wearing the same clothes the next day. Maybe she could swill them through later and hang them to out to dry overnight. Until then she could at least have a wash and touch up her makeup to make herself look a bit more respectable. Now where had she left her bag? Oh no, the study, she realised, where Jed was working. Well, she couldn’t hide away from him just because she — or to be fair, they — had got a bit carried away with a kiss. She was sure that they were both adult enough to handle it.

My Fairies - Three Wishes Blog Blitz

Today I’m participating in the Three Wishes Blog Blitz, hosted by author Juliet Madison! From 2nd to 6th September you’ll have the chance to win some awesome prizes at all the blogs participating in the blitz, including mine. All you have to do is follow my instructions below for winning the prize I have on offer, and then you can click over to Juliet’s blog to enter her prize draw, and see the list of all other blogs taking part and enter their giveaways as well. How cool is that? Why is it called the Three Wishes Blog Blitz? Juliet’s new romantic comedy release, I Dream of Johnny, is about three wishes, a high-tech genie in a lamp, and one very unfortunate typo that proves magic isn’t all it cracked up to be ....

Wouldn't we all like to have three wishes? Someone who would grant us three wishes?
I love those kind of themes. Three wishes? What would I wish for? Would I go for the monetary wish? Or the success? Is this really what is important in our lives? Money and success?
Three wishes .... oohhh ... endless travel opportunities. I'd say that'd be one wish. I love exploring the world, other countries, meeting people. So, I agree, that involves lots of money. Sorry!
I'd wish for "Scotty's 'beam-me-up' machine" so I could beam myself to be with my family on the other side of the world more often .... Now that's a nice wish. And a real one at that. One last one ... World peace ... just kiddin' ... although it's something we all would probably like to wish for. But what about world full of fairies, rainbows, leprechauns and good luck for everyone. Yes, I think I could settle for these three wishes!

What would you like to wish for?

Leave a comment and I will ask "my fairies" (my two daughters) to choose two winners to win a copy of my latest release "New Beginnings". (Kindle or pdf.)
Let me know if you added the book on Goodreads or you follow me on twitter and I'll give my fairies a little nudge towards your name ;-)

The "Three Wishes Blog Blitz" (Competition) closes at 12pm on Friday 6h September (Sydney, Australia Timezone)

Once you've entered my giveaway, visit Juliet's blog and enter her giveaway, too, and visit any or all of the other participating blogs to enter more prize draws. You could potentially win a whole heap of prizes! Good luck! Visit the official Blog Blitz post here: http://julietmadison.wordpress.com/2013/09/02/3-wishes-blog-blitz-official-post/
